Bookkeeping Services
1. Clean Up/Set Up
Our end goal is a bookkeeping system that will provide your business ongoing success, profitability and key financial insights. The first step of this process is to clean up any mistakes from the past, and to set up a system for a profitable future.
Our Clean up/Set up service include:
- Check existing transactions for accuracy, correcting as needed, and enter any missing transactions
- Adjust all opening account balances for accuracy
- Bringing reconciliation of all all bank, credit card, and loan accounts up to date
- If you don’t already use an accounting software set up, I’ll get you set up with Quickbooks Online. (Pro tip, I can get a discount for you on monthly subscription costs!)
2. Keep Up - Monthly Services
Once we have you cleaned up, and set up, we need to keep up the good work. This will ensure accurate records and financial reports for as long as you choose to work with me. The exact services I will provide depends on your needs and wants, but the list below is typical.
MY MONTHLY SERVICES START AT JUST $350
- Classify and record transactions in bank and credit card accounts
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Record and depreciate fixed assets
- Prepare monthly management report with key financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows).
- More detailed quarterly reports comparing performance to past periods can be provided if desired
- Monthly virtual meeting to discuss financial statements, performance, and profitability. These meetings are up to one hour in length, and we will also discuss future strategy.
Other Services
Payroll
Payroll is something you can’t afford to get wrong. If you have 10 employees or less, I can make sure that you get it right. I will set up your employees and run your payrolls so that you never have to worry about employees not getting paid on time. And your payroll taxes and benefits will be accurate.
Have more than 10 employees to pay? I can either work with you to help set up software to do it yourself, or refer you to a trusted partner to do it for you.
Training
I have worked with Quickbooks, and small business owners for years. I am a certified Quickbooks Pro-advisor. In all my time working with these owners, I’ve never heard one say that they wanted to get into business to learn how to use accounting software!
Even if you are using a professional bookkeeper like me, you may need to know some basics about using the software. I can work with you and your staff to make sure that you’re using it effectively and efficiently, building in best practices and workflows as you go. I usually do these training sessions remotely, and can even record them so you can review them later.
